Roadmap for a healthy pregnancy
All pregnancy checkups will take place at the practice. Of course your partner will be also invited. In addition to answering your questions, the growth and position of the baby is checked, we listen to the baby’s heartbeat and measure your blood pressure. Furthermore, we discuss how you feel, how you experience the pregnancy and discuss any concerns during each check-up. In the third trimester, around 35 weeks, labour and birth will be discussed during a double appointment. We discuss your preferences, wishes & expectations regarding the delivery. Do you dread the delivery or would you rather talk about the delivery with us earlier, please discuss this with us. We are happy to adapt our care to your wishes.
If there are indications that complications may arise, we will request additional tests such as blood tests or ultrasounds, and refer them to a specialist, such as a gynecologist in the hospital of your choice if necessary.
